Shortcut on startpage

Hi there.
Concerns Android 9.
Question: is it possible to put a shortcut to a single file or single map on the startpage.
On my phone (Android 11) I have found a way to do it but my wife still uses Android 9.

what phone are we talking about? not all android 9 or android 11 phones are alike. it also will depend on how manufacturers and carriers want to run the os on their phones. it will also depend on what file manager you have on the phone.

I know my Galaxy Note20 Ultra with Android 11 can do that, so I'm thinking it's either an Android 11 or a specific Samsung feature. Is your Android 11 phone made by Samsung?

If there's any third-party apps that can replicate this feature, no idea.

It's certainly a Samsung and I think it is a J4 model.

Open your app drawer, long press on the maps icon, and hold it down, drag to your home screen.
