Should I be concerned?

Is this an Android security issue?

I found a good deal on a Nexus 5. I'm not worried if the phone will work on my carrier. What I want to know is that in the listing it shows clear pictures of Serial #, IMEI, WiFi Mac Address, etc.

Should I be concerned buying a phone where all these people have seen it's info?

Just personally if it was me It wouldn't put me off. I don't think there's too much someone could do with that info that would worry me personally. Have you checked the IMEI to make sure it doesn't have bad EFS?

I should have called before I bid, but yes I am calling in a few minutes with my carrier. I'm the only one here (at work) right now so am waiting.

But if all is good, good to know nothing else should be a problem.

Wait until some other people reply though lol. I'm not the most security conscious person when it comes to Android :D

That's a great website.

But yeah, I called my provider.. they wouldn't even give me any information. All they are saying it has to be Sprint or from Google Play Store or it won't work.

Yet last time I called to see if it would work, the guy said it will work, yet they prefer you buy it from Sprint/Google Unlocked as you can be sure it's 100% compatible.

If you guys were interested I'm switching to Ting. Runs on the Sprint network which I currently have with Virgin Mobile. Only thing is I'll save about $20 a month because they only charge you for what you use.

I hardly make calls.. 29 minutes this month.. text? Less than 10 this month. Data? That's my mostly costly thing, but still not a lot. I think I'll spend about $15 - $18 instead of $35, because most of the time I am either at work or at home on WiFi anyway.
