Root should i do the baterry drain fix ?

i have the stable cyanogen mod 7.0.3 rooted the phone , moved dalvik cache , moved applications to sd
but i feel like my phone is draining the baterry too fast
and while googling i went to some baterry drain fix which installs through recovery

should i do this [CM7/CM6]Battery drain fix | Build #9 | 2011-03-18 | merged to cm7 - xda-developers

or it is already done in the stable release

I dont know what it is but its in CM7 already. CM7 isnt great on battery from what I hear.
