Root Should I just wait until we know more about Crickets Android ROM?

So I successfully got my Samsung Moment running with talk and text on Crickets network. I signed up for the full Android plan, so I know there HAS to be a way to get all this stuff running in proper order, we just don't know enough yet. I've been searching for days on how to get my MMS and WAP settings right, and all I've found so far are work-arounds and stop-gaps. Personally, I'm leaning toward just living without that stuff until we get a break-through, like a leak of the full ROM, APS and MMS settings.

What're you guy's thoughts?
