Should I or Shouldn't I????

I just read that the S3 is coming to Verizon in June. I have had bad luck with previous Samsung phones (S2 and Galaxy Nexus).

Both of my previous Samsung phones had GPS issues that didn't lock on to satellites very quickly or sometimes at all. Both of them also had terrible signal reception compared to Motorola and Iphones.

Does anybody know if these issues were fixed with the S3?
 
My signal reception seems fine, although I've never used a Motorola nor an iphone, so cannot compare them.

As to the GPS, it locks very fast - mine locks in approximately four seconds (4 sec).
 
But I don't think anyone has CDMA versions of the S3 yet, which is what's needed for Verizon. So as the radio hardware will be different I think you will have to wait until people have then to tell what reception will be like.

I don't think GPS should differ much though, so you are probably OK there.
 
Hadron's right I would wait even afterit comes out and read some reviews of it but I dought it will have better signal than Motorola phones seeing they have always had the best signal but I think will be better than the s2
 
I've had a Samsung Behold, Vibrant, Galaxy S 4G and all are terrible devices. I also have suffered through Samsungs lack of updates (Vibrant and DX released at the same time and DX probably had twice the updates - and GB, which Vibrant never even sniffed).

I really wanted the Fighter HD, but I'm over 2 years on my DX now and am not waiting any longer.

Also, as I was worried with my DX at 4.3", I'm worried about this at 4.8". Turned out I loved the 4.3" size. Not sure 4.8" will work, but I really don't want to wait months more for an upgrade.
 
All samsung devices are bad I had the galaxy s2 skyrocket and it was a really good phone and good signal
 
From reports of new owners, the size is not a problem. It seems to just fit well in your hand and feels solid. Pentile screen is not even mentioned much, the display is very well accepted. Wifi and bluetooth seem to be okay. I think Samsung will have pretty good radios in for CDMA. Go for it.

Remember that you have 14 days to return the phone. Even the $35 restock fee isn't a given if you are having issues that cause you to return it. I returned 3 Galaxy Nexus for various reasons and never once paid a fee. This way you can see if it works for you in your areas of use as opposed to relying on others' personal experiences in their unique situations.
 
Where I live surprisingly verizon doesn't have the greatest of service. I get 1 or 2 bars of signal on my motorola and I am still able to make phone calls. With my previous samsung phones I would only get about 1 bar of service and the phone calls would be choppy and disconnect. I am going to pre order this phone and just hope for the best

how about switching carriers?
