Should I return my Galaxy Nexus?

To get strait to the point, I don't really like nexus.
I had the Galaxy S2 (international one) about 3 month ago and I loved it so much, but I had to sell it because I went away for 3 month.
So on January 13 I got the Nexus. I was really exited, I was waiting anxiously until my provider releases it.
So far in seven days, I exchanged my Nexus 3 times, mostly because of screen problems, and random reboots.
Right now my third Nexus has purplish hue on a grey background on top of the screen and it bothers me a lot.
I'm kind of tired of switching this phone, and my provider is getting really annoyed.
I have until January 26 to make my last switch and my only other option that I consider is the Galaxy S2X (Hercules).
Now what I like about the s2 better is the way Samsung implemented everything, it's just easier to use and more fun.
Like sliding left for a msg or right for a phone call and just basis operations, like selecting pictures is just more practical, and not to mention that the camera is also better.
What do you guys think I should do?
I know the GS2X is inferior to the GS2 because it's using a different processor, but do you thing it's worth switching the Nexus for it?
Thanks for your input.

I think you've already made your opinion clear: you are underwhelmed with the Nexus, and speak quite highly of the other phone. It's your call to live with, but it strikes me as you'd be happier going with the other phone.

It's a big decision for me, because I signed a 3 year contract.
The only thing I like about my Nexus is 720p screen, but the 3 phones I tried so far have defects of some sort. and I really like the fact that this phone gets updated first.
what I like about the S2X is the camera and the interface.
What would you guys choose if you were in the same situation

I feel the same way, I have exchanged my nexus 3 times, and waiting for my 4th this Monday, mostly due to screen issues, I have never seen such quality control issues it ridiculous.

Other then that I love the phone, I love stock ICS, I know no other phone will get updated as much as the Nexus, and it is just fast.

Since I am on Verizon I do not have the option of the S2, but if Verizon did have it, would be a touch choice, but I cannot stand touchwiz.

So at this point if the 4th phone is defective, I am either going to stick with it, or just tell verizon give me my money back and just wait for some quad core phones sometime this year.

Yeah i'm just thinking of just cancelling my contract if I still can, and waited out. My provider is releasing the Galaxy Note soon, maybe I'll get that, but the Nexus seems big already and the note is a monster.
That's really too bad, I had such high expectations for this phone, but it fell short for me.
Hopefully the HTC Edge comes out soon, should be the next big thing.

@ OP...

OK zero harshness.... But just to be clear, you are in the Nexus Forum! So you may get flamed a little bit.

My advice....simple! Get what ever makes ya happy man! If the SG2 is what ya diggin, grab it again.

I luv my Nexus....no other phone does it for me....

First of all, my simpathy for your troubles. Having such bad luck is, well... maybe i won't find a word that doesn't infringe this forum code of conduct :p

I agree with the above, you should get whatever phone you're most comfortable with. In your case, not even ICS is an issue, since you prefer touchwiz over stock Android, but even so the GS2X will get ICS soon enough (hopefully). The Gnex is a great phone, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best for you.

On an unrelated note, someone mentioned the Galaxy Note. It is for sale here in Europe (and cheaper than the GNex when both are sold unsubsidized), so let me tell you one thing: it's larger than you expect. Its 5.3", 800p display is simply awesome, but the phone itself is too large to be used comfortably as a phone: is more of a mini-tablet than anything else.

Well that clears things up a bit, I was considering the Note, but was worried that it might be a bit big and awkward to use as a phone.
But than again people rarely make phone calls nowadays, everybody just send text messages.
Well I have until the 26 to decide, I'm starting to get use to the Nexus.
I just want that screen to be perfect.

I love my Nexus, love ICS. But I haven't had a single hardware problem with it. So I suppose that makes a difference.

If the Nexus is fairly BIG to you, forget the Note....Seriously now! Its Gigantic...Like someone said...its Bigger then you think. Not practical for an everyday phone. And if texting is your thing, well unless you have gigantic hands, that may be a task as well. I have pretty big hands and the note just feels ridiculous to me...

Disclaimer on my opinion about the Note: i've been using a Galaxy Tab as my primary phone for a few months (the international version can make and receive calls and SMS, in case you US guys were wondering), so me saying that the Note is too big to be used as a phone may not be entirely coherent :p.

Don't get me wrong about the Note: it CAN be used as a phone. It will fit in a jacket pocket (probably not in your pants though), and you can avoid the awkwardness of holding a gigantic phone next to your face by using headphones. Even one hand operations are not entirely out of question if you have pretty big hands. It's just...it's too big for a phone, too small for a tablet. Its 1280x800 5'3" screen is gorgeous, though. But the pen thing is just plain silly :D
