Root Should I root?

Well i just got my evo & i love it ! but i dont know if i should root? i dont want to break it or anything, but can someone tell me what I can do if i root it? thanks

It is worth bearing in mind that rooting voids your warranty... not trying to put you off - I've rooted both my phone and tablet and also my wife's phone, just want to make sure that I've mentioned it!
