Should I switch to the GSII?

So I've had the Atrix for a few months now and I love it, but i'm considering selling it and getting a Galaxy S II instead, what do you guys think?

I'm on ATT and purchased the Atrix unsubsidized so as to keep my upgrade option available and because I was awaiting the unveiling of the Galaxy Nexus (figuring i'd be switching to Verizon and wanted to avoid ETF).

I had been rocking a G1 forever and it was finally time to upgrade.

The reasons I went for the Atrix is because for starters an AT&T GS2 wasn't available yet, but primarily:

1- better battery life
2- higher screen resolution
3- smaller screen 4" vs 4.3" (I'm not a big guy and thought anything bigger than 4 would be too much)

I found the Galaxy Nexus underwhelming and instead I'm really considering trying to get a GS2. From what I hear the battery life is still good on the S2, and while the Atrix technically has a higher resolution the Amoled screen is nicer from what I hear (haven't been able to tell too much of a difference at the stores).

I think the biggest reason is because I believe the GS2 will receive ICS, and honestly when I compare the specs I think the GS2 with ICS is actually better than the Nexus (i'm a huge fan of sd card slots)

I'm skeptical as to whether the Atrix will ever receive a legitimate ICS upgrade, and it doesn't have the best cyanogen mod support.

Sorry for the long post, basically I'm looking for a second (and 3rd and 4th..) opinion. The biggest drawbacks are still the size of the GS2, I'd like my thumb to be able to access the whole screen, and the price I'd have to pay because I still don't want to use my upgrade.

What do you guys think?

My girlfreind had the atrix. She traded it for a GS2 when I got mine. I was really annoyed by the atrix and its crap screen. Resolution means nothing if the colors and clarity look like crap and your annoyed the whole time. You will LOVE the GS2. Why dont you want to use your upgrade? Do you not what to be under contract or do you just think there will be a MORE expensive phone coming that you want to be subsidized? I mean your already paying out of pocket so you could do that again down the road if you want to change anyway. If your going to stay with ATT you might as well take a discounted phone.

Basically because I haven't decided if I want to stay with AT&T or switch to Verizon and I'd like to avoid an ETF. The more I think about it though the fee is what $50? and I'd be able to save like $300 so maybe I should just use the upgrade.

I guess I should play around with one a little more, it seems a little big for my taste but maybe I'd get used to it

The termination fee (ETF) on the GS2 would be $350 minus $10 for each month of service you complete. You save at least $350 off the GS2 when you buy it with the contract ($549.99 full retail, $199.99 being AT&T's price) and you could save more by going through someone else like Radio Shack or Best Buy (though beware they may put another contract on there that would make terminating even more costly). So right there, they make it more cost-effective to just buy the phone with contract even if you're unsure of how long you'll have service.

Ha well I was way off on my estimate of the termination fee but I was right that I can save money buy just going ahead and using my upgrade? Interesting, I'll have use one a little more to decide if I should go ahead with this
