Root Should I unroot to upgrade?

Love this phone, but as of latley the quirks are getting to me more and more. Random reboots, freezups, etc. I've been rooted and v6 supercharged for a while now. Removed all the bloatware. I'm on version 2.2.1 Was thinking that if newest upgrades make the phone better/smoother/less error prone, I'll forgo the rooting ability. I might've gotten the phone wet to, noticed smow moisture near the battery after I took the phone in the shower which could also explain why it's acting this way. Dried it out with rice bag but just want the phone to work properly again. Anyone have suggestion?

if you deleted the apps instead of freezing, then you wont be able to update. if you did freeze them, then you should still be able to, however if you have a custom recovery installed and have a nandroid from when it was running smooth i'd do that first

if you really really want to upgrade. restore it to completely completely stock. all the bloat included. then call verizon and tell them your device refuses to take the OTA update. they'll walk you through a factory reset, which of course won't fix anything and will waste about 30 mins of your time, and then they'll send you a warranty replacement.

has it been a year since the commando came out? i think the warranty covers you only for a year.

So does this mean if I'm another person with v. 2.2.1 I can't unroot and reroot to get the update? My mate did that with his droid, does it not work with the casio? I saved a back-up in titatium backup before I rooted but then deleted the apps afterward

The OTA update does some type of file check before it is allowed to update. If you ever deleted any bloat, it'll fail the check and won't update.
