Should i upgrade to jellybean

Its on the desktop Play for me but not from my device. I had to install the apk from the link I provided earlier.

Believe me, I thought the same thing for ics on my EVO. Jellybean is so smooth anytime I switch back to an ics Rom the lag bugs the hell out of me until I go back :
But i dont feel like my phone could get any smoother. Its perfectly fast.
How can it be more faster

:Lol

The reason i have the update now is that this phone came from Honk Kong. I think its an international model. It is unlocked and unbranded so i am assuming it is because of that. But i thought that every samsung galaxy s3 is available for Jellybean update

Isnt it?

Anyways, i think i will stick on ICS for now as i have no reason to change the software and i like flash and do not intend to try get it back after downloading JB. Sounds like a hassle

Thanks guys

Flash wasn't supported by ICS early on either.

Love it or hate it, it isn't going away anytime soon...just like any widely-used technology.

JB looks nice and Google Now/Voice/whatever runs far better than S-Voice (I-want-to-punch-this-Voice). I would upgrade. I would also make a backup.

I understand your reluctance since its a great running phone.

What do you mean make a back up.?

But there is no way of going back to ICS if you dont like jellybean is there?

Thats the prob

Reverting would depend on your carrier or availability of stock Odin ROMs. Call your carrier and ask.

Always back up your data when doing an OS upgrade in case it fails (Kies or your carrier's cloud if it has one or just copy everything you don't' want to lose to your PC). A factory data reset may also be called for.

A NANDroid backup would be ideal but that requires rooting and custom flashing.

The UK update for JellyBean hasn't been released yet, that's why people wouldn't have it. Mines the international model, the GT-I9300 and it doesn't make a difference.

It's the CSC that matters here as far as I'm aware. I'm running the Polish update so it doesn't make much difference to me though.

No, it is not in the Market. I just checked. I even signed out from Google to make sure that it wasn't being filtered by my devices.

It's appearing in my store, unless this is not the right thing

Would you recommend using the Polish update? I'm in the UK too and have a GT-I9300 on an o2 contract.

Sorry to bother but which version would be the best suited for a recent JB updated US SGS3 stock phone? I went to your link but I found different FP11.xxx versions. i didn't want to mess up the wife's new phone :o

Thank you

Charles
