Should prostitution be legalized?

Haha. I don't know what kind of girls you talk to, but I for one don't sleep with guys I date, I just like getting a free dinner. And I certainly don't sleep with any mook that buys me a drink in a bar.

Not any mook in a bar but I'm a bit confused if you aren't sleeping with the ones that buy you a drink, and you aren't sleeping with the guys you date.....do you randomly point to some guy on the street and say 'Him, I'm going to sleep with him'?

You are right. I never thought I would be able to see the day when legal cocaine would make sense but hookers and cocaine go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly
 
Without reading every post here, should prostitution be legal? Yes. The only people who should be worried about what goes on behind closed doors is the people behind them.

I am picky. And women don't "need" sex the way men do. I am holding out for Johnny Depp. Haha, jk, but seriously, good things come to those who wait.

I think that allowing legal brothels that are properly regulated could reduce the spread of STDs that illegal street hookers might spread around. Prostitutes can get around the law anyway by disguising their services as "escort services". I've seen escort ads in the back of every porn magazine I've browsed through. This is pretty much prostitution under a different name, which makes it legal.

It must be ski season by the lake of fire, because for once I find myself agreeing with FreakyLocz14 on something. I have had the opportunity to live in a number of different countries, and in most of those prostitution, while not an option most parents choose for their children, is legal, regulated, managed and taxed. Those engaging in prostitution for a living enjoy legal rights and benefits just like any employee of any job, while those procurring their services are able to use a a service that at least in theory tries to control the spread of the ills that normally accompany unregulated prostitution.

Look at it this way, just because it is illegal, it doesn't mean it is not pervasive. One look at popular "want-add" websites such as Craigslist and backpage will show you that just like cars for sale and apartments for rent, prostitution is widely available pretty much everywhere.
 
i think that maryjuana goes with the prostitutes, not cocaine. imo......

i think if about everything was legal, it would all sort out in the end.

Banning cocaine is not the answer to that. We already have laws that forbid people from smoking in public, unless a private business owner allows it on their property, and from drinking and being drunk in public. Those laws would obviously apply to marijuana, cocaine, and other drugs upon their legalization.
 
It should be legalized and minimally regulated, just like drugs and gambling should be. I'm sure there are a few other "crimes" out there that shouldn't be illegal also.
