Accessories Shouldn't the extended battery provide double the power?

Correct me if I'm wrong (I seriously think I'm missing something here) but if the extended battery from HTC is literally twice the size of the standard, shouldn't it be rated at 2600mAh instead of 2150mAh? If the original is 1300mAh, then 2x the size should be 2600mAh, no? 2+2=4 right?

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure battery rating is not directly (or even linearly) proportional to battery size.

I don't know all the specifics about Li-Ion, but that'd explain it.

The battery cell sizes differ. It's never a 1:1 match.

And the larger the battery, the more internal structure is needed to hold it together.
