Shut off text ringer easily

I have a HTC Desire that is my primary phone so I need to keep it on all the time. Is there a way to shut off the text ringer for when I'm sleeping without having to go into message settings and unchecking the ringer and vibrate setting?

Was hoping for some sort of app button I guess. I've tried searching but came up empty.

I appreciate your help. I tried this and it seems to me this mutes the whole phone. I need it to ring if someone calls.

Then try Timeriffic. It's schedule based, so there's no quick toggle, but it allows you to schedule when the various types of sounds are allowed to operate individually, and at what level
