Shuts down automatically

Every now & then, my Ascend 2 will turn itself off. Any ideas as to why it does this? It usually happens during the night when charging. It doesn't complete the charge. I'd hate to miss an emergency phone call , ya know.

yes this happens with my phone too...but during the day and sometimes while using the browser i.e. Facebook

I am having the same problem. Phone shuts down automatically when charging. It doesn't happen very often but still I would like to know why this is happenning.
