Help Side bar a gone?

after the recent update a side bar appeared on my phone in the form of a little tab that when you touch it, it opens up with a short cut to further apps.I really like this feature but I restarted my phone yesterday and it has now disappeared.I dont know what it was called and cant find it in my settings.Can anyone help me out please?Thank you

Check its switch on under Settings / Display / Multi Window should be ticked.

Then simply long press the back button to toggle the bar on and off

Thank you, this was driving me nuts, searching over the internet to find the answer and seemed like no one else had the issue of it disappearing like it wasn't working properly when in fact it was.

Why does Samsung not publish change reports with updates its ridiculous and no instructions on how to use the function properly and yet there's an instruction on how to swipe the screen when you first update it.

I noticed it happening then I noticed if I tapped in the area of the tab it came back...
