Help Side load two apps?

Is this possible? I have an app that I want that has version 1 (3.8.0) which is solid and has a nice feature that was taken away in version 2 (3.8.3) but V2 also has a new feature that's pretty good, but I don't justify the loss of the previous version. So I was wondering if I could have both! V1 and V2?

It depends on whether the package names are different, i.e. whether Android would see V2 as a different app or an update to the existing one.

If you get them from the Play Store it may be easy to tell: if both old and new are in the Store then you can be pretty sure they are different. But some devs may withdraw the old version even if the new one is technically a different app, so that's not foolproof.
