Help sign in attempt prevented....

i get this every time i switch on my phone. if i tap it, it takes me to gmail sign in page, i enter the password but it says its wrong. yet im signed in already with my gmail acc on the M8 anyway.

weirdly, ive even had a notification to my hotmail email acc from google saying 'sign in attemmpt prevented'. when i look at the email it gives the time i switched my phone on, and my hometown, even tho my GPS isnt on.

any ideas how i can work this out please? is it a rogue app? gut feeling is its something genuine but i just dont understand why its still happening.

EDIT: it actually says 2 attempts prevented, from both my gmail addresses. im obviously only signed in on one on the phone, so baffled why its giving my secondary gmail acc too.

this is still happening regularly, not just when i switch my phone on. ive done as much investigating as i can and found it says incorrect password all the time as android forces it to say this when it isnt happy about the app logging in. so thats one confusing issue cleaned up.
but i cant work out which app is the problem. can anyone advise on how i can find this out please? is there anywhre that will show which apps are logging in, which are successful and which arent etc?

Have you tried deleting all your accounts then resigning up?

i havent no. do you just mean the gmail and facebook accounts? or absolutely anything in 'accounts' ?

You could try one account at a time or all of them and be done with it. Good luck.
