sign up to heytap?

Snoef

Lurker
I updated my oppo and they want me to sign up to heytap. I don't. So now my settings icon is grey and when i tap on it the question is on top to sign up to heytap.
How do I get rid of that question?
I was in contact with oppo's helpdesk but they can't help. ?

you should be able to get to your settings by the drop menu from the notification bar. and are you saying the icon in your app drawer for your phone's settings is greyed out? or is it greyed out on your home screen?

I don't have heytap app on my phone. They want me to sign up and use the heytap service. So there is that question to sign up. There is no way to say no. I can ignore and than the question stays on top in settings menu.

It is in dutch. 'aanmelden' means sign up.

Before it updated, were you signed into an Oppo account with your phone? Because they moved Oppo ColorOS cloud accounts over to Heytap, which is a third-party cloud services provider that Oppo(BBK) now uses.

More information here:

"HeyTap Cloud/OPPO Cloud are terms that can be used interchangeably.

OPPO Cloud is now migrated to HeyTap Cloud Service to provide users a secure and reliable cloud storage space. Everything you store—photos, videos, music, contacts, messages, notes, browser bookmarks, calendars, and other personal information—can be conveniently accessed and managed in HeyTap Cloud."

I believe it's similar for Realme, Vivo, and OnePlus phones as well, as they're all from the same manufacturer. BBK.
