You mean like the AirRave? Some people have good luck with them...I have not...

I mean like the apps that say they can increase your phones 3g/4g/wifi signal reception. I'm personally doubtful, but don't know for sure.

Yea, I know it all sounds crazy & all, but when you have a decent phone, but crappy signal, you tend to reach for straws. :banghead:

No, the apps don't do anything.

Many times sprint will give you a free device to improve your signal in your home. I'm sure other carriers do similar things.

I would call your carrier and ask

well.. Motorola have a reputation for strong radios... samsung has weaker ones.

you might look at getting a Moto.
do you have any friends that are on the same carrier, but have different make phones? ask them to come over and test it out.

No, it's definitely a carrier issue. Everyone in my area with VM or Boost has the same problem. The coverage map shows excellent, but it's 100% opposite in actual use. You can even spot the VM/Boist/Sprint user easily, because we all go outside to get a half decent signal. And to add insult to injury, the tower is only 6/10th of a mile from me.

I’ve tried a zillion of those booster apps and all they do is make me think I’m doing something productive. Life gets tedious, waiting for 4G in my neighborhood.
