Signal Problems

Just got my first android phone today. I got the ZTE score from cricket. I went with them because I know cricket is the only cheaper service that works where I live. Anyway With this phone I cant get any service anywhere around my house. My last phone was just a basic phone and it got from 1-3 signal bars. Im lucky if i get service with 0 bars with this new phone. I dont get whats going on. Any help will be appreciated.

Try and update your prl

This is a list of our RoamingPartners that is stored on the Cricket phone. This listing provides the ability to roam onto the Roaming Partners' networks. This list can change over time, so it is important to dial *228 (and then press “Send&#8221 from your Cricket phone prior to entering a Roaming Coverage area. This will ensure that you have the most up–to-date Preferred Roaming List provisioned on your phone.

To update your PRL complete the following before entering aRoaming Coverage area:

1. Dial *228 from the Cricket phone 2. Press SEND 3. Follow to the prompts given to complete the update

This process should take approximately one minute to complete.
