Signal stregnth

I have no idea what a good signal strength would be. This is mine at home. It would be interesting what others have.

Bigger! Why won't the dropbox image link work?

Well, It's -87 dBm. 13 ASU

The dropbox link needs to have a .jpg/png extension for the image tags to work. I don't believe you get this from the dropbox app, you need the PC app or the web version.

Anyways, -87dBm & 13 asu is pretty good. Anything below -90 is classed as a good signal and I think anything above 10 for ASU is average. Fwiw, -87/13 is exactly what I'm getting at the moment (although my other half, on a different network is getting -78/20 :o).

From memory, I think dBm is the amount of interference against a set value, so the lower the better. It's been a while since I researched it though so I'll happily stand corrected on that if I'm wrong. :)

Hey, thanks for the tip. Got the link from my pc dropbox but then there was no Edit button on my phandroid post on the web version.
Had to copy link to my phone and edit the post in the phandroid app where there was an edit button. Bit of a pain.

-99/7 for me at home. Not great, but calls come through fine. Not sure what you will get from this - it will depend on people's local circumstances?

For screenshots - try photobucket. They have an app, and will give you a direct link in the right format which automatically goes into your clipboard, which means you can paste it right in.
