Help signal strength

have signal strength issues with my galaxy s3 with verizon, specifically in my home, have had minor signal issues in my house before with previous phones but never this bad, is there anything reasonable i can do to boost signal strength or am i stuck with what i got, any info is appreciated....thanks

I usually get a weak signal at home and use my Wi-Fi instead.

i use wifi at home which is fine for internet but i get no call service...drop calls and have trouble sending recieving text messages
