SII might not get Android 4.2


At this moment in time I would be inclined to take that rumour with a pinch of salt.

Whilst it is acknowledged that there are a few problems with TouchWiz on the SGSII at the moment, they are not insurmountable. Far more likely is that Samsung are prioritising other, newer, models first and the SGSII that reached its EoL back in May, is on the back burner as these two articles describe...

I would expect them to release 4.2.2 with the Master Key Bug Fix in place.

However, as the article points out, if the update does not materialise, it is not really a big deal over 4.1.2 and you can always root your phone and install an updated ROM
