Accessories Silicon Case Drains Battery Life??

i recently bought a silicone case for my DHD.

before, my battery drains 1%/hr during standby mode.

eversince i had the silicone case. the percentage just got bigger. there are times when it is on standby mode. no signal as well.. but batt level goes down 10%.

does silicone cases really affect battery life?? my batt temp with case on is usually at 33 degrees....

please HELP!

If the signal is dropping then it will be eating more battery trying to acquire one. I'd get shot of the case and try another one. It's worth forking out and getting a decent one. I've got the Otterbox Commuter and it's awesome.

Weird that a case would do that though.
 
Blimey, I've got one of those gel cases (came with the phone when I bought it second-hand). Also got a Proporta leather/aluminium sleeve as I'm paranoid about scratches.

My battery gets gobbled so quickly..might have to reconsider another if this happens?

still a lil wierd that a case can cause this? even a silicone one? unless the case has some kinda element like lead in it lol

but agreed, fork out for a chunky monkey that is the otterbox and i kid you not guys, the ammount of times ive dropped the begger on floors...is worth it!
 
I also use the otterbox and have had no trouble with increased battery drain. ( How could it get any quicker? it drains as fast as an unstuck toilet now.)
 
I have an otterbox for my galaxy s2, had one previously on my blackberry bold and loved it. on the s2 it seems to make the phone get hot and it does drain the battery quicker, i struggled to get a days use off of 1 charge but with out the case it does nearly 2 days.
