SIM Card help

I have not purchased the Viewpad 7 yet, actually looking and waiting for the 7X to come out later this month. My question is about the SM card. As the Viewpad 7 comes with unlocked phone capability, will it work with ANY sim card? I am specifically wanting it to work with a Telus/Koodo sim card as they are my local phone company, here in western Canada and it would be easiest to just pull the card from my phone and plug it in.

The reason I am asking is because my son bought an unlocked phone some time ago, and it would not work with the Telus sim card, had to go with Rogers. But the specs on the phone appear to be correct for both companies. Maybe I need to learn more about sim cards.

I'm sure you've probably sorted this out but I just got my Viewsonic and saw your post.

I'm from the same region as you, and though it wasn't Telus, I was able to pop the sim from my 3G SaskTel dongle into my tablet and it works great.

SaskTel and Telus should be the same. I did have to Google the APN settings for the sim and enter them manually but they weren't hard to find so you should be able to do the same with Telus.

I really hope you didn't have to go with Rogers. They are brutal where I live.
