Sim card issue

Looking for a good internal Sim card manager, as every time I try to export my contacts, I get a sim card is full error.
 
Does Android even allow you to export to the SIM? The "export" option in the phone app is for writing a vcf to sd (I use it a lot as I have trust issues with corporates and want my own backup as well as Google).
 
Mine always did previously. I'm using a ZTE Grand X Max + on 5.1... I just used what girolez suggested and worked like a charm.

Yes, my note 4 stock contacts app has an export to SIM option in the app settings. I never use the SIM for contacts, but interestingly french sim cards arrive new with emergency phone numbers for fire, police, medical and child abuse lines pre programmed.
 
Hmm, yes, so it does. I guess it's just never crossed my mind to copy contacts to a SIM (limited not just in capacity but in what information you can store) and I've just glanced over it.
