Help SIM card not working, but is detected

I accidentally put my Micro SD in the SIM slot

I managed to get it out, by taking it apart. However now when I put my SIM in, the phone detects there is a SIM in there, as it says "rebooting as SIM detected" but it doesn't connect to the network.

The SIM works fine in another phone.

I've opened it up again, all the pins look ok, its pressed in so it "clicks" into place but still doesn't work.


Anyone help please, otherwise the phone is goosed

Have you tried putting a different SIM in the phone?

yes tried a few in now. It shows "emergency calls only". So it seems to be detecting the SIM, but not enabling it? if thats possible?

the SIM is defo working, tried it in another phone and is fine. Man what have I done? how can I fix it...

Well been messing all day and its not working. It just shows "emergency calls only" with a SIM in or out. however when the phone is on, and I insert the SIM, it says on screen "SIM detected, rebooting" and it restarts, but still shows "emergency only" even though I know the SIM works.

Anyone help please...
