Sim card question....

I have not bought the Atrix......yet. I went last night to an AT&T store to check it out. I currently have an iPhone 4. I want to take my sim, with a sim card adapter and pop it into the Atrix. The AT&T rep said that the data will not work cause I have an iPhone data plan. Is this true? When I had my 3GS, I bought a Nexus One and everything was fine. I have a feeling this rep was wrong.

From what I've seen on my billing records going from an iPhone to Android is that they do designate "smartphone" data plans and "iphone" data plans differently on your bill. I could only imagine that they do it for a reason. Not sure what that reason is, however lol.

My wife and I are both using our iPhone 4 sims in our Atrixes.

The data plan should work. Just another clueless AT&T rep. The key thing is making sure the adapter you bought fits correctly. Some adapters are just a pain to use in some phones. IMO, going the micro-sim route by apple is complete nonsense!
