SIM Card Question

I just got my new Moto X from VZW. Yeah!

Question - Set-up as of now (Moto X still powered off):
Line 1 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Line 2 - dumb phone (sons)

At the end of the day, I want:
Line 1 - Moto X
Line 2 - Galaxy Nexus

The Moto X was ordered on the dump phone account as that is the one which was eligible for upgrade. I see 2 paths here:

1 - simply swap the SIM card, the Moto X gets the "line 1" SIM card, the 'old' Galaxy Nexus gets the 'new' SIM card and is then assigned the Line 2 phone number

2 - Take both phones with me to the local VZW store, and we walk through this together and ensure all is good.

Thoughts on path? Gotta run out for a few mins, hopefully when I return, my crowd-sourced answer will be awaiting. Thanks in advance!

You can't swap the SIM. Moto X takes a nano-SIM. Galaxy Nexus has, uh, I don't remember.

If you log into your account online, you can walk through this process yourself. Just log in, go to My Verizon, and then under your devices you'll see a link to "Activate or Switch devices."

That will walk you through the process of activating your phones on the right account(s).

Are you doing any of this in attempt to keep an unlimited data plan? Or are you simply trying to find and easy way to switch phone lines.

Simplicty, nothing more.

My old phone is grandfathered and based on conversations with VZW, I can continue to keep that on that phone. If not, it's not a big deal, will combine all devices if necessary. Once everything is configured, I need to determine my data needs.

Been paying for a MiFi for the past 3 years. Thinking with everything being metered equally, I can drop that and use the phone for tethering. In the past, this was a no-no.
