I bought a Droid HTC from a friend. It worked good for a week. Then errors kept popping up, and quit. Just realized it didn't have a Sim Card. Would this cause it not to work??
It would stop a number of features from working, specifically anything that requires a network connection like phone calls, SMS and anything using mobile internet like e-mail (though the internet-reliant things would work while you have a WiFi connection).
Your best bet is to get a contract (post-pay) or pay-as-you-go (pre-pay) SIM. Make sure you get one with a generous data allowance if you want to make the most of your phone.
