hi

can you please tell me in which version was removed this option:
"save new contacts to: SIM"

in latest versions i was unable to find this setting, there is only export/import contacts to/from SIM

so i want to have the latest version of android that has this feature

Think it was removed from 2.3 or earlier. Storing contacts on the SIM is really a relic from the 1990s, of brick like dumbphones and just names and numbers, nothing else.

My contacts list is almost 1MB in size, my SIM has 32kb storage. ...and my first computer in 1980 had 16kb storage.

You should have import contacts from the SIM, but saving and creating new SIM contacts, especially if they got multiple data fields and photos, is just not going to happen.

Incidentally you're after backing-up your contacts, there's several ways to do that. Usually you can either sync them to Google and/or save them as a contact list to your PC.
