Sim Free JB Update

Got my JB update on my Sim Free phone this evening. Did not show up on OTA but when I connected to Kies it was there. Took a while, cant see a huge difference. Nice to have Google Now, however having said that S voice seems to be working much better when it comes to sending texts etc. Don't like the new female voice for S voice and the fact that you can't change it to other voice engines I have on the phone. For information my phone is a T Mobile / EE contract but because I got it from Carphone Warehouse, its sim free has all their phones are.

I too have the sim free S3 from Carphone Warehouse and also with T-Mobile. I take it that PDA:/LI4/Phone:LID/CSC:LI4 (BTU) is the Jelly Bean update? I have just used Kies and saw that the update is there to be downloaded but might wait a while as 1) need the phone to be active for the rest of this evening without interruption and 2) apprehension as to the viability of the update.
Is everything working with your setup as you would expect, as I will probably update tomorrow night?

I'm on a SIM-free S3 too, not from Carphone Warehouse but it's the same GT-I9300 model I'm sure.

I'm with wunay on holding off, Kies is offering me it. Apple makes mistakes, let alone the Samsung amateurs!

So far so good though OP?

It took a while to upgrade had I had to reboot the phone at the end even though was not asked too. However no problems, phone seems much smoother, I like Google Now, S Voice much improved (but now with a female voice) . Did not back up before I did this, all apps fine (quite a few updated). Very well pleased, love my S3.

Just installed this update took away driving mode and cannot get the phone off silent well miffed at the moment
