Sim Internet Connection

Hi,
I am new to the forum with limited technical knowledge, based in the UK.
I have just purchased my 3rd DUAL SIM android 2.3.4 mobile, unbranded [apart from H700] from China.
All of the functions in the phone work great apart from one. I cannot connect to the internet via sim which has been possible on past phones using the current sim cards, both personal PAYG sim and business contract sim. I have spent hours chatting with the carrier, Vodafone and they confirm and have text all the correct settings for internet connection and yet, still nothing. Frustrating to say the least as I cannot use internet once out of wifi range.
I have spent hours trolling through the phone menu but can't see anything logical that is barring me. I have contacted the seller without resolution of the problem.
Is there something really simple I am missing in the settings of the phone? Can someone talk me through it in very basic terms please?

I would say try a friend's sim card to see if it works or try your sim card on someone else's phone. If your sim card works on someone else's phone, then your phone is the problem
If someone else's sim card works on your phone, then it can be 2 things:
Either it's a phone problem or the carrier's problem (Problem I faced).
Call your carrier and ask them to just cancel your internet package and to re-activate it after 5-10mins. If that still doesn't work, it's your phone which is the problem

Anyway that's what I would do...
