Help Sim network unlock pin

I bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant off eBay. It was working fine for about two months, and now all of a sudden it has been asking for a "Sim network unlock PIN." My dad bought a new pin to put in, didn't work. We factory reset it, didn't work. I'm not quite sure what is wrong and what I should do about it seeing how we bought it off eBay, the seller probably won't refund/exchange.

I heard something about "radios" being mixed up, could it be something related to that? I'm not quite sure what that means.

I've tried searching for related topics but no one seems to be having the same issue.

I've read that forum before-- they downloaded a ROM that messed up their device... I haven't done anything like that. I haven't installed any radios either.

I had to do it to mine when i got it to use my 02 sim in it.

I had the same problem as you did, and i found this forum through this thread post, and posted my question below, and found the solution as well.. Try the solution i posted as response to my own question.. Good luck
