I bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S Captivate i897 in December 2010 and have been using it happily ever since. Last night I changed SIM cards to check if another SIM card was working. That card didn't work. I put back in the orignal card and now when I switch on the phone I get a message to enter the SIM Network unlock PIN!
What can have caused this and how do I get my phone back working?

I would still love to know why it locked itself.
