This worthless piece of crap seems to be a massive drain on my battery. For whatever reason Vodaphone added it, yet i have never used it.

Its far and away the highest drain (in terms of apps) on my phone.

Is their a point too it?

isnt it to get information from vodaphone like your balance , and ways to top up ?
 
I can't see how it can be a drain on your battery tbh. It's not like you use it often is it. As Mehta23 has pointed out its only there for information and retrieving your phone number, plus you can't get rid of it either!
 
Thats what worries me, android booster shows it as the top power consuming application despite me never bothering to open, nor use it as its mainly for things like topping up a pay and go phone as far as i know.

May root to get rid on baggage like this.

Although a bit worried about the whole root thing as there seems like endless options.
