Help <simlock> counter blocked PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone,
This is my first thread on this forum so please be considerate
I have recently purchased Sony Xperia S on an auction (ebay). What was meant to be a sim unlocked phone unfortunately turned out to be simlocked and also have a Blocked Counter meaning that someone has input the code wrong 5 times.

Is there any method to reset the counter and to sim unlock the phone using some flashing tool etc. ( i have done it for HTC desire back in the days) ?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You

This is why i don't buy phones from Ebay.

Honestly if it was me, i'd just send it back.
Not much help i know. But if it was advertised as something it's not then.. ya know..

but it should be any way to unlock the phone... because I got same problem.. so by code its imposible to unlock now.. any other ideas?
