SIMlock, flash, video player

[speedy051]

I have a few questions about Samsung Galaxy Ace that I'm getting in few days:
can installing custom mods or some apps help with this:

1) improve video playback capability, because stock Ace cant play divx avi files, or 720p video (eg. installing vplayer app from android market)?

2) make possible to record video at higher resolutions?

3) make possible to view flash content on web?

And does rooting bring with it SIM unlock, if not can SIM unlock be done free? I found a tutorial to do it only for Galaxy S....

I would be grateful for your answers!

yes, when you buy on a contract, your phone is locked to that operater.

ok in your case rooting and de-branding may solve this but really i wouldnt, (risks) and if you do get a techy/little indi shop dude to do it but make sure to ask if your covered in the worst case scenario (brickage)

also i missed one of you Q's

use skyfire browser, its the only browser i know of that worked to play "most" flash media live on webpages, like i like using watch-american-dad and watchfamilyguyonline i use skyfire to play these its otherwise impossible because us galaxy users just dont have right processor to handle raw flash,... which is actually quite dumb seeing as the skyfire people could make it happen with just an application,

heres a link for you for android market
