Help Simple App as Launcher?

Hey guys!
Is there a way to use a normal App as a launcher?
I need a launcher that, when I press the home button, doesn't open a typical launcher UI but instead an normal App that I can set.
Im asking because I found that "ES-FileExplorer" can do everything I need for my start page.
But I dont find a way to use it as a launcher.

Nova Launcher can set the Home button to do almost anything you want.

^^Yup Nova settings, gestures and buttons, home, apps, ES File Explorer.
This home button mapping only works while you're in home screen but it's the best way i can think of (unless you use a custom rom that can map the button universally)
