Root simple new battery question, searched, havent found the answer im looking for.

Fully rooted, ROM decks Reloaded, Amon-Ra recovery

MY QUESTION is... when i first boot back up, after fully charging a new battery, should i boot into recovery and wipe battery stats? if so should i then open the battery manager, and... do... uhm, the vague, fully discharge, fully charge, process, with 0 interaction from the program, and no indication it is actually doing anything...

PS, much love to everyone who helped me out with my rom question, yes i liked it all btw haha... I love this rom, i love my phone more than ever, and there are truly only one or two random things i have a problem with running this. and both are very minor. but thats anothe time another place

I think you will get conflicting answers about wiping battery stats. My opinion is, don't bother, I didn't when I got my new battery. However, I did fully charge, let it drain to 5%, recharge,discharge....3 or 4 times before I would let it charge like I always do, overnight...
So, I even googled about the wiping stats thing...lots of yes and no answers.

thanks for the tip, i know, i looked and googled the s*** out of this before bothering posting, i just, didnt want to do anything that would hinder this battery since i was lucky enough to get sprint to send me one for free, and the oem batteries are not exactly cheap, especially when youre saving to move out.
So, dont bother wiping stats? yeah... lol everyone seems to say, the battery doesnt have memory, so there isnt really any point. OHHHHhhhhh wellllllllll thank ya kindly sir

Wiping battery stats will not hurt it. I would recommend going ahead and doing it and then letting the phone get real low and fully charging it back up before really trusting the information that you are being presented with within the phone.

The ROM uses the battery stats to gain information about how much battery is left and convert that into a % remaining for you. So no, the battery doesnt have a memory, but the battery stats serves as a base for your battery usage.
