SimpleNote Notepad

I don't have a data plan at the moment and I need a simple notepad for the Android just like I use the notepad.exe on the PC.
I also don't need to sync, I want to store the note on the SD card, I will copy back and forth from phone to PC where required.
SimpleNote Notepad by WENHUIYAO seems to be the apps I'm looking for, it is free, no ads and does basic note taking.
Does SimpleNote Notepad by WENHUIYAO needs internet connection? Can I use this app without a data plan, copy the txt file from PC to phone and vice versa?
