simultaneous faults on 2 separate mobiles

My wife and i both have Samsung Galaxy 2 mobiles. They were both obtained at different times. we are just coming to the end of our mobile cotract and are going to upgrade , which is good as, for some reason -within days of each other they have stared to both show exactly the same fault. Firstly, the phones stopped recognisning the sim card, eithers say one was not fitted, or it was not valid. Then they both started saying thath there was an error with the voice command. anyone know why this would be. the phones have not been together for over a month, so there has been no direct connection (blue toothe etc). so anone have any ideas? is it some sort of hacking to encourage you to buy a new phone? just odd.

Hi jayreatric. Welcome to these forums. That is odd that both phones developed the same problem at about the same time. Can you recall anything you both might have installed around the time they started acting up? I've never heard of anyone complain about a phone going South just prior to the end of it's contract period.. I think you can rule that out. We do have a discussion area set up for most every different S2 phone.
As they are a bit different from one another, we have an area for each different S2.
