Help Since update 3.01 calandar wont work

In this situation, I suggest removing the Gmail account added to the device as it seems as though it has not initiated correctly.
 
So what you are saying is that there is really nothing that can be done, because even if i remove the account its not going to allow me to make events. I made a new Gmail and it didnt work either so i dont believe it is the Gmail's issue but Ginger breads. I honestly hate this phone
 
Sorry, the information above was not quite complete. However given what you have tried to do and the result you get I would advise running a repair via the Support Zone section of PC Companion to reload the firmware.
 
So i did the whole varifcation thing with the calender in Gmail and it still doesnt work, gives me the same thing, sync is on, but give me the same please add account.
 
One trick I've used with Android phones is to flush the calendar off the device and allow a resync. Go to Home -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications, and look for Calendar Storage. (Might have to do Menu -> Filter -> All from this point.) Once you've located that, go in and select Clear Data. This forces a resync from the server and should not harm the data thereon.

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling gmail and reinstalling it.

It helps alot guys if you let us know what version software you have, if you're rooted, and what version of the app in question. Isn't that common sense?

Download and install this apk, it's called GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter

Seems like this didn't install properly when you did the upgrade, I concluded that based on you saying when you go to settings/apps/manage apps and tap on your google account that you don't see an option to sync calendar.
 
Well this is a bit weird, So i put that into my downloads and went to download it, apperntly i have it but when i hit launch it says activity not found then the name. so i went to uninstall to see if i can reinstall and it wont let me. I really dont want to have to set my phone to factory settings in order to get this working seeing as the back up and restore as been removed and wont install.
 
So ignore my last post, i found the google sync thing you gave me in my apps and i force stoped it and then went to my calender and now it works.

If it were me, I'd reinstall the sync apk I provided and the calendar provider apk. Because you shouod see the calendar sync option when u tap on ur google acct
 
I tried to take out the syn account i found in the apps it wouldnt let me take it out, said uninstall unsuccessful. I cant be bothered to work anymore on my phone its been a pain since the day i got it. Since the calender seems to be working now i will leave it till it decided to not work.

I hear ya...btw, u gotta be rooted to uninstall factory apps like that. I dont know ur setup since u didnt say.
 
I dont even know what you mean by Rooted or what my set up is so i cant rtell yeah. Besides i do have bigger things to worry about than my phone.
