single contact icon on home page issue

I have placed a single contact icon on the home page as it's a number I call often. my steps were shortcuts/app actions/contact/then the selected name.

The icon is there but when I click it pops up another box where I have to select the call button from a panel of three choices.

I'd like to skip that last step so that just clicking on the home page icon makes the call.

I know there's a way but I've forgotten how to do that - had to reinstall everything after a hard reset.

Solution please?

Thanks.

You need to add a direct dial same way you added the contact.
