My handset is motorola Atrix and the android version is 2.3.6. i am observing a strange behavior with the SMSs i send while i am on roaming.
when i send an sms to a number while i am roaming in the recipient's network circle, my handset shows that the message is delivered once. but the recipient receives that message indefinitely as long as i am in roaming. delivery of this message stops only when i come to my home network location out of roaming.
i am charged at roaming charges for all the sms as if i sent all those messages. i took this issue up with the network provider but they claim it's an issue with the handset which i feel is not a convincing reply from the provider.
i think if my Android handset has a problem the receiver should receive the messages indefinitely always doesn't matter if i am in roaming or in my home network.
do you think it can be an issue with the handset with this android version as the network provider claims? is there a known issue reported about this ever anywhere?
