Good luck to the most successful manager in footballing history.

IKnow this is sports but I'm sure many people who don't use the sports thread would like to know this!

Maggies gone, Fergie retires... All I know is there must be someone in liverpool with a lamp and one wish left....

hahaha this did make me chuckle :D

Not a fan of Alex Ferguson but have the utmost respect for what he has achieved, Moyes has a tough act to follow!

I have been lucky enough to see my team (NUFC) smash Man Utd a couple of times and it's always a great feeling to get one over on them.

Despite being from the Red side of Liverpool, I think that David Moyes will do an excellent for them, which is a shame really. He's had Everton punching above their weight for most seasons since he's been there, and so as long as the Utd players buy in to his management style, they're going to be much better than they were this season

I miss him already never thought this day would come but for 26 years of service we all thank you fergie. Worlds greatest ever manager. A new leaf for united but all the fans need to be behind moyes and support him 100 percent regardless of personal opinions. Glory glory manchester united.

I just couldn't believe it, but the truth is harsh. When I think that a lot of MU fans don't even see the team without SAF, I get shivers all over my back.

I'm only 28 so I've never known a united without him but I guess we've got to take the good from a bad situation and support the new manager in a hopefully sucessfull future.

Fergies last ever game today and what a game 5-5 doesn't happen to often. Hell really be missed. If Moyes can do half the job he can then we've got a good future ahead for the club.
