Siri vs. S Voice

Not a fan of S Voice at all.

Spotify playing. I use my blue tooth headset to start S Voice and ask it to make a call. It makes the call. I talk then hang up. It doesn't start my music again.

Also, if I ask it to call and then change my mind and close S Voice by pressing the headset button again, it doesn't restart my music.

In both of these cases I end up having to pull over to put my music on so I might as well have done that to make the calls in the first place!

How does it work all the other times you tried it when your not wearing a headset?

I've never really user it much without my headset attached, but I realised what's going on. It does restart music when you close S Voice. The problem is just that s voice doesn't close after listening for a command, instead it waits for another command.

There should be an option to close straight after a command is used, especially when S Voice was invoked using a headset.

Does anyone know if there's a way to close S Voice using a command? I've tried exit, stop, close, shut down, nothing seems to work.

Edit: Woo solved it!!

I just say "Spotify" after, it loads Spotify and starts playing my music again. Perfect :D

Thanks, wouldn't have investigated if you didn't ask me that!

Glad to see you got it working again. It sounds like one of those things that so simple it was just overlooked. Don't hate me for saying this but android products tend do this. I know its a Samsung product but you get the idea. What headset are you using? I need a new one

I've used both Siri and S-Voice and to me they're almost the same exact thing. It's a helpful tool when you're driving and can't text (you can have S-Voice do it for you). Or asking a random question (how far is it to blah blah) etc..

Lots of uses for S-Voice. I'm sure as future software updates come out everything will get better.

From all the Youtube videos I've seen, they (Siri and S Voice) seem to perform at about the same basic level--neither one outshining the other in any significant way. Its very evident when using either one that they're the testing stage for more developed and polished products of the future (for Samsung and Apple, individually of course).

In other words, they are both equally unnecessary gimmick features.

On my S2 I found Iris pretty good and Jeannie very good. I have to say I am not impressed by S Voice though I have only had the S3 for 6 days and am still on a learning curve.

Thanks for all the info guys. I was under the impression that Robin was made my Google but apparently it was not. I have not had good experience with the program. Hoping S voice works when I finally get my phone. I have not used another programs like Iris or Jeanie. I was concerned about the interference with Majel but if it comes with an option to disable one of them then We should be all good.
