I did the update no problem. But my phone is always hot and burns up more battery now. It seems to be hot around where my camera lens is. I have to recharge it 2-3 times a day. I have nothing different running than before. It also is slower to respond, when pressing to answer calls, text messages and so on. Any suggestions?

I am not fmailiar with your phone... perhaps one of our members who has the same device would be able to offer some advice... you would be best checking in Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket - Android Forums as I am unsure how many of our regular members come to the intros section!
