Crunchyroll works, but there are no/very small subtitles on the videos. Reading the subtitles is necessary to fully enjoy most of the videos, unless you understand Japanese or Korean. I have this problem on my Sprint HTC Hero.

Yeah its really slow

IMO It's not that slow. With a 3G connection, I really don't experience too much lag or buffering when using skyfire on my Moto Droid. However, with the Adobe flash available with Froyo, Skyfire will be obsolete for 2.2 users.

I wish I could change the thread title because these some of these sites work on an Adobe flash enabled device.

Sorry if this has already been posted but I came across another site that is compatible with the Skyfire browser (and the default android browser in some cases).

It is the free tv project and is located here:

Watch all tv series online for FREE

It has a very large listing of TV series including many new series. Just as other sites like davidmovies.com link to places like megavideo this one does as well. Most of what I have seen are links to veoh, tudou, youtube, and megavideo. Of course the megavideo links do not work as discussed above but the veoh and tudou links work great in Skyfire. If you come across a youtube video you will be better served loading that up in the default browser as it will automatically link to the embedded youtube player.

When you first go to the site and click on a TV show or a season you will be presented with quite a few about:blank windows with just white screens. Hit the back button and select a different series. You may get a few more about:blank windows but eventually the page will load properly. For some reason it seems as though once the browser "learns" how to load the pages then they all load perfectly from that point on. Don't have a clue why this is. For the youtube episodes I would suggest going to this post and downloading the updated youtube.apk which will give you HQ youtube episode videos.

Of course you have to install the apk at your own risk. Again I apologize if this has been covered already but I did not see it in this thread.

i didnt need an app for anything on youtube lastnight. signed in, went to my 'channels' selecting anything that came up. just tinkering with skyfire after installing it.

NVM, sorry. realized you were talking about HQ, don't think i got that far

Beginning to think skyfire is a waste of time really. Ive never managed to get a video from a site other than the bbc to work. It always either stops at 25% or 33%. Also the actual pages sometimes render so badly. When trying to scroll up or down they can take a few seconds to register. I prefer the stock browser, never given me any issues. Think ill just wait until we eventually get flash either by an update or a custom rom.

I just switched from a Windows phone using Skyfire and I could watch video on almost any site. Now with SF on the Captive, I can't watch video on a few sites I could before, one being ADVRIDER. Is the skiFire just new and still developing for Android?

What gives?

Since Skyfire uses Android's default browser you might run into issues with a few sites. The deault browser isn't too great, IMO. Since I've been on 2.2 with flash built in I have really used Skyfire that much. However, may I suggest going into your default browser, clearing the cache and/or change the UAstring on the default browser. This worked for me for a few sites that skyfire couldn't load. Just in case, you do not know how to change the UAString on the default browser, heres the link to the discussion thread about how to do it.

Hope it works. Good luck.

suggestion for vids, movies and tv
use this search engine
Search ZShare using this custom ZShare search engine

for the diff sites you want to search
I suggest you start at zshare for movies and tv
For a test I just searched for i ronman sent link to phone, opened link with skyfire , skyfire took @10 secs to optimize vid watched first 10 mins , excellent vid , no hiccups. Though you could just bookmark the search eng page in skyfire, to have it handy.

I own a copy of ironman on dvd so I could have just put copy on sdcard, just wanted to test this option out for missed tv programs

it's totally different, from what I can see - skyfire actually played the flash videos on the WinMo phones - I had the Verizon xv6800 (HTC), and I watched the HD world cup live streams this summer on univision.com, it was brilliant - smooth flow, crisp/clear video. Can't get univision videos to play on the Droid X - it just hangs trying to 'convert' the videos.

Maybe i should change this thread's title to skyfire non compatible websites because so far aside from hulu based websites, I have been able to go on any website that have flash video. This browser is awesome.

(First time post, btw)
Love skyfire, but claims above indicate that dailymotion vids should work. The browser doesn't even seem to recognize that there's a video on the page.
Running on LG Ally - my first "big boy" phone. :)
