Skype does not work properly on Android 4.0.4 on Tablet

I have a Medion Lifetab tablet S9512 + Android 4.0.4. Since several months Skype does not work properly: I can not hear the person I dialled, I can not hear the dial sound. The other side does hear me. Also no communication possible. What to do? KR Amy
